About Us
We were formed in September, 2019 by County Executive Jimmy Haley under the Tennessee Governor’s Rural Task Force initiative in cooperation with the McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce. Our Three Star Goals are focused on promotion, education, and tourism related to agriculture in Warren County. McMinnville (Warren County) took on the moniker of “Nursery Capital of the World” back in the early 1970s. Nurseries, and associated industries, form the economic engine that will drive Warren County into the future. According to the “2017 Census of Agriculture: County Profile” Warren County ranked Number 1 out of all 95 counties in the Nursery, Greenhouse, Floriculture, and Sod industries accounting for nearly $75,000,000.00 in sales in that sector alone. Over the coming year we want to inform the people of the Great State of Tennessee about our nurseries, row croppers, ranchers, poultry, award winning A&L fair, equipment dealers and so much more! We will be featuring various agriculture related sectors every month throughout the year on our Facebook page.
The Future
Ultimately, we’d like to do more than simply educate the public and promote Warren County agriculture in general. We want to create a public-private partnership that advocates for securing a grant to build an Agriculture Expo Center in Warren County that would be able to host everything from trade shows, to special events, to rodeos.
